Community Economic Development

Community Economic Development at Frazier Revitalization focuses on building opportunity where people already live.

Together with residents and partners, we support local businesses, expand access to jobs and entrepreneurship, and strengthen the neighborhood economy so families can grow and thrive right here in the Frazier community.

What Economic Development Looks Like in Frazier

In the Frazier community, economic development is about more than new projects—it’s about creating real pathways for residents to build income, grow skills, and create long-term stability.

Families are gaining access to workforce opportunities, small business support, and local investment that helps keep resources in the neighborhood. This work also supports entrepreneurship, giving residents the tools and encouragement to start and grow businesses that reflect the needs and strengths of the community.

Over time, these efforts help increase household income, strengthen financial stability, and build generational wealth across the neighborhood.

A Clinic Built With, Not For, the Neighborhood

Frazier Revitalization worked alongside Parkland Health and community partners to successfully structure a New Markets Tax Credit investment that brought a health clinic and dental care directly into the neighborhood.

That project is complete, and it stands as proof of what’s possible when residents, partners, and patient investment work together.

Today, our work has shifted from building access to supporting families in utilizing available resources. Through Empowerment Pathways, we’re focused on helping residents navigate care, understand prevention, and manage their health long after the ribbon-cutting — because access is only the beginning.

Core Areas of Support

Community Economic Development brings together several connected areas of focus:

Residents are connected to job opportunities, training, and skill-building resources that support long-term career growth and stability. We’re able to refer people to workforce training opportunities with Dallas College, Dallas Leadership Foundation, and ICDC.

Community members are encouraged and supported in starting and growing local businesses that create jobs and keep dollars circulating in the neighborhood.

We work alongside partners like Zan Wesley Holmes, Jr. Community Outreach Center to attract and support investment that strengthens the local economy and creates lasting opportunity for Frazier families.
